TantaHost was started in Nottingham in 2004 by Martin Henshaw after too many evenings moving local bands, clubs and small shops away from bargain hosting that looked cheap until a mailbox vanished, a renewal was missed, or nobody could explain which DNS record mattered. It has stayed deliberately small. The same person who quotes the plan is usually the person checking the DNS, reading the backup log and answering the awkward renewal question. Cheap hosting is fine when nothing ever changes. Small organisations do change. A volunteer leaves, a card expires, a domain sits in an old designer account, or the one person who knew the password has moved on. That is where the extra few pounds a month usually earns its keep.

Migration bookings need administrator access to the old host, DNS access and a recent backup if the old host is unstable.

Go live after checks
New hosting is usually provisioned within 2 working hours during opening hours, and always within 1 working day unless a transfer is waiting.
Support promise
Faults are watched. Wishes are scheduled.
Normal hours are Monday to Friday 09:00 to 17:30. Saturday 10:00 to 13:00 is for booked domain and email changes only. Urgent hosting faults for existing customers are monitored 08:00 to 22:00 every day.
Out-of-hours emergency restore for existing hosted sites is £60 flat call-out plus £45 per hour after the first hour. TantaHost does not run bulk email platforms, unmanaged VPS rentals, anonymous accounts, crypto launches or sites that create avoidable trouble for other customers.
